- Building access — tell us the rules and we handle the rest

What couples say
after the room goes quiet.
We booked this for our anniversary and honestly I expected it to feel awkward — two strangers, two tables, our living room. It wasn’t like that at all. They arrived together, moved the coffee table themselves before I could offer, and had everything set up while I was still making tea. Same…
Couple Oil Massage in Dubai
Oil massage is the format most people picture when they think of massage at all: warm oil, a table, long continuous strokes travelling through the body without stopping. It is not one technique but the foundation several are built on — Swedish, Balinese, aromatherapy, deep tissue and hot stone all use oil, and all of them are oil massages.
A couple oil massage at home in Dubai means two DHA-licensed therapists arriving together, two tables, warmed oil chosen separately per partner, and both sessions running on the same clock. You choose the oil, the pressure and the technique for each table independently. The price covers both regardless.
This page covers what the oil actually does, which carrier oils we use and what each suits, the allergy question, how oil massage compares to the dry techniques, and the practical business of laundry, hair and showering afterwards.
What the Oil Actually Does
It is not decoration, and it is worth understanding why.
It allows continuous movement. Without oil, a hand gripping skin has to release and reposition constantly. With oil, the stroke travels the full length of the back or the leg without breaking. That continuity is what produces the rhythm the nervous system settles under.
It protects the skin. An hour of friction on dry skin is uncomfortable at best and damaging at worst. Oil removes the friction entirely.
It lets pressure travel. Force applied through a gliding hand spreads along the muscle rather than concentrating at a point, which is how a full-body session reaches tissue without bruising it.
It carries warmth. Warmed oil transfers heat into the tissue as it’s applied — a small effect but a noticeable one, particularly in air-conditioned rooms.
It carries essential oils where you want them. Aromatherapy is oil massage with the blend layered in. The carrier makes it possible.
The Oils We Use
Sweet almond oil — the standard base across the industry and our default. Medium weight, absorbs at a moderate rate, suits nearly every skin type, and has a very faint natural scent. Nut-derived, so it is swapped on any nut allergy.
Coconut oil — richer and heavier, traditional to Balinese, warms well and has a mild natural scent most people like. Absorbs more slowly, which suits longer sessions.
Grapeseed oil — lighter, faster-absorbing, non-greasy and neutral in scent. The right call for oily or acne-prone skin and for anyone who dislikes the heavier feel.
Jojoba — technically a wax, closest in composition to skin’s own sebum, excellent for sensitive and reactive skin, and very well tolerated. Available on request.
Unscented neutral — no scent, no essential oils, nothing detectable in the room afterwards. The standing preference for households hosting guests and anyone with fragrance sensitivity.
Essential oil blends — added into any carrier at safe dilution, chosen per partner. Lavender, citrus, eucalyptus and the rest live on the aromatherapy page.
Choose at booking or leave it to the therapists. If you don’t specify, sweet almond is what arrives, unless a nut allergy is flagged.
Allergies and Skin Sensitivity
Declare at booking, not at the door. This matters more with oil than with any other element of the session.
Nut allergies. Sweet almond is nut-derived. Any nut allergy — including coconut, which is technically a fruit but reacts for some people — means we bring grapeseed or jojoba instead. Say so at booking and the carrier is switched entirely; this is a routine request and never a problem.
Sensitive or reactive skin. Eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis or generally reactive skin: mention at booking. Jojoba is usually the right answer, less oil is applied, and any affected area is avoided.
Acne-prone skin. Grapeseed is lighter and less occlusive. Say so and it’s used, particularly on the back.
Fragrance sensitivity and migraines. Unscented neutral carrier, no essential oils. Flag it once and it’s filed permanently.
Recent tattoos, waxing or chemical treatments. The area is avoided; fresh tattoos in particular are left alone entirely until healed.
Sunburn. Serious sunburn postpones the session. Mild colour means lighter pressure and careful oil application.
Oil Massage Against the Dry Techniques
Worth setting out plainly, because the choice is real.
Oil massage covers the body continuously, reaches tissue through gliding pressure, and suits anyone who wants the classic experience. It requires undressing to comfort level, involves oil on skin and sometimes hair, and means a shower at some point afterwards.
Thai massage uses no oil at all. Fully clothed, floor mats, compression and assisted stretching. Better for mobility and stiffness; nothing to wash off afterwards; needs real floor space.
Reflexology uses oil only on the feet. Seated, fully clothed otherwise, no table needed. Better for standing-day fatigue; fits anywhere.
Dry seated head, neck and shoulder work can be done over clothing on request — shorter, no undressing, and useful when time or space is tight.
The couple format handles any combination. Oil massage on one table and Thai on a mat beside it is a booking we take constantly.
The Practical Business: Hair, Sheets and Showering
The questions people actually have, answered plainly.
Will oil get in my hair? Only if you want it to. The scalp and neck work is the closing part of the session and genuinely good — but say the word and the therapist keeps everything below the hairline. Flag it at booking and it’s remembered.
Do I shower afterwards? Your choice. Leaving the oil on overnight lets it absorb and most people prefer that, showering in the morning instead. If you’d rather shower straight away, wait twenty minutes or so — the oil is still doing something in the first few minutes after the session.
Will it stain the sheets? We work on our own single-use linens over your furniture, so your bedding isn’t involved during the session. Afterwards, if you go to bed oiled, an old t-shirt and older sheets are the sensible precaution. Most oils wash out; coconut is the heaviest.
What about the sofa or carpet? Tables have their own covering and the therapists work carefully. Spills are rare and cleaned immediately. If a rug worries you, say so and we set up elsewhere.
How much oil is used? Less than people expect — enough to glide, not enough to pool. If it feels like too much, say so and the therapist adjusts.
Fresh linens every time. Single-use sheets, towels and face-cradle covers for every booking, without exception, on both tables.
Choosing Your Technique
Oil massage is the format. The technique determines the hour.
Swedish — the default. Long strokes, kneading, moderate adjustable pressure, full body. If unsure, this.
Balinese — flowing rolling strokes over warm coconut oil, with gentle stretching and acupressure folded in. The richer, occasion-suited version.
Aromatherapy — Swedish base with a per-partner essential oil blend. The simplest upgrade and the best sleep outcome.
Deep tissue — oil-based but slower and firmer, using sustained static pressure rather than continuous glide. Region-focused rather than full-body.
Hot stone — oil plus heated basalt, glided and placed. Deepest warmth, least effort required.
Relaxation — Swedish at consistently gentle pressure with slow pacing and no therapeutic agenda.
Each table books its own. Different techniques cost the same as matching ones.
Why Couples Book Oil Massage
It’s the format both partners recognise. No explaining, no learning curve, no surprises. For a couple where one has never had a massage, the classic oiled table session is the correct starting point.
Everything is adjustable per table. Different oils, different pressures, different techniques, different regions avoided — all on the same clock for one price.
It covers the whole body. Where reflexology does feet and Thai does mobility, oil massage is the one that gets to everything.
The shared finish. Two therapists, one start, one end. Both of you get up at the same moment, which is the whole reason to book a couple session rather than two separate ones.
Safety Notes and When to Postpone
Allergies: declared at booking — nut-derived carriers swapped on a word.
Pregnancy: the adapted session runs from the second trimester with a doctor’s approval — side-lying, moderate pressure, abdomen avoided, pregnancy-inappropriate essential oils excluded, no hot stone. First trimester declined.
Skin conditions, open wounds, rashes, fresh tattoos or serious sunburn: the area is avoided; significant sunburn postpones entirely.
Recent injury, surgery or acute inflammation: the area waits until a doctor clears it; the rest of the body usually still works.
Fever or active infection: postpone.
Blood thinners, clotting disorders, heart conditions, uncontrolled blood pressure or any managed condition: mention at booking. The session adapts and where clearance is needed we say so.
We are a licensed home massage service, not a medical provider. Oil massage relieves muscular tension and supports relaxation; it does not treat, diagnose or cure medical conditions, and nothing here is medical advice.
What We Need From You
A room with space for two tables — living room standard, bedroom where it suits better. A photo at booking settles any doubt and we’ll say honestly if two tables won’t fit.
A socket if the booking includes hot stones.
Your oil preference and any allergies, said at booking.
Your pressure preference per person, and any areas to focus on or skip.
Everything else arrives with the therapists. Setup and pack-down take under ten minutes each way and the room is left exactly as found.
Pricing
One figure covers both partners — both therapists, both tables, all linens and towels, the oils, and the travel. Quoted in the message before you book and matched at the door.
No charge for the oils, no surcharge for one carrier over another, no per-therapist multiplication, no travel fee by area, and no late-slot premium.
Coverage Across Dubai
Couple oil massage runs to every area we serve — the coastal belt, the central districts, the villa belt, the eastern corridor, old Dubai’s quarters, the southern reach and across into Sharjah.
Arrival windows differ honestly by distance: coastal and central inside about an hour, villa belt and eastern corridor around an hour and a quarter, far southern communities and Sharjah at an hour and a half with half a day’s notice. Each area page quotes its own window. The price is the same everywhere.
Frequently Asked Questions — Couple Oil Massage Dubai
Which oil do you use by default?
Sweet almond, warmed before application — unless a nut allergy is flagged at booking, in which case grapeseed or jojoba arrives instead.
I have a nut allergy — can I still book?
Yes. Say so at booking and the carrier switches entirely to grapeseed or jojoba. It’s a routine request.
Will oil get in our hair?
Only if you want the scalp work. Say the word and the therapist keeps everything below the hairline, and it’s remembered for future bookings.
Should we shower straight afterwards?
Most people don’t — leaving the oil on overnight lets it absorb, with a morning shower instead. If you’d rather shower, wait twenty minutes or so.
Do you bring your own sheets?
Single-use sheets, towels and face-cradle covers for every booking on both tables, without exception. Your own bedding isn’t involved.
Can we each have a different oil?
Chosen per table and never shared — coconut on one and grapeseed on the other is a normal booking at no extra cost.
Can we have no scent at all?
Unscented neutral carrier is available on every booking and requested constantly. Flag it once and it’s kept permanently.
Can one of us have oil and the other Thai?
Common booking — one table, one mat, both starting together, same price. Tell us at booking so the right kit arrives.
