Couple Back Massage
In Dubai.
Two licensed therapists, two tables, and the entire session spent on the back — the region a full-body massage visits briefly and then leaves.
What The Back Session
Actually Works Through.
Upper back, shoulder blades, the spinal band, the lower back and the hips that feed into it.
Whole Session
Thirty to sixty minutes on one region — not the eight minutes a full body allows.
Upper Back
Between and around the shoulder blades — the desk pattern's home and the commonest complaint.
Lower Back
The band above the belt line that driving, standing and lifting all quietly destroy.
Hips Included
Glutes and hip attachments worked as standard — most lower-back tension actually starts there.
Spinal Band
The long muscles running either side of the spine, stripped top to bottom properly.
Your Pressure
Light through firm, set separately per table and adjusted by your feedback throughout.
Same Start
Both partners begin and finish together — two therapists, one clock, one focused region.
Short Evenings
Thirty and forty-five minute options — the session that fits a weeknight without taking it over.
Straight Pricing For Both Partners

Relax At Home
Both therapists arrive together, the tables rise, one start, one finish, gone in ten.
Most couples worry they do not have the space. Almost every Dubai apartment does — a living room with the coffee table pushed aside is plenty.
- About 3 × 3 metres of clear floor — a living room or bedroom both work
- One power socket for a small speaker and a towel warmer
- Building access — tell us the security rules and we handle the rest
- Nothing else. Tables, linens, towels, oils and music all come with us
What couples say
after the room goes quiet.
We booked this for our anniversary and honestly I expected it to feel awkward — two strangers, two tables, our living room. It wasn’t like that at all. They arrived together, moved the coffee table themselves before I could offer, and had everything set up while I was still making tea. Same…
Couple Back Massage in Dubai
The back is where most people’s massage-worthy tension actually lives, and it is the region a full-body session gives roughly a quarter of its time to before moving on to calves that were fine to begin with.
A back massage inverts that. Thirty to sixty minutes spent entirely on the upper back, the shoulder blades, the spinal band, the lower back and the hips that feed into it — worked in layers rather than passed over once, at whatever pressure the tension actually needs.
A couple back massage at home in Dubai means two DHA-licensed therapists arriving together, two tables, and both sessions running on the same clock. It is also the shortest session on the menu that still does real work, which makes it the weeknight booking for couples who don’t have ninety minutes but do have a back that has been complaining since March.
What the Session Covers
The upper back and shoulder blades. The rhomboids between the blades, the trapezius across the top, and the region around each blade — the desk-and-screen pattern, and the most common complaint we hear.
The shoulder band. The strip across the tops of the shoulders. Technically shoulders rather than back, always included, and always tense.
The spinal band. The long erector muscles running either side of the spine from the neck to the pelvis, worked with stripping passes top to bottom. The spine itself is never pressed — the muscles beside it are.
The mid-back. The region under the shoulder blades that almost nothing reaches in normal life.
The lower back. The band above the belt line — the region driving, standing, lifting and sitting all load in different ways. Usually where the session spends the most time.
The hips and glutes. Worked as standard, over the drape where preferred, and often the actual source of what you feel as lower-back pain. A back session that skips the hips is doing three quarters of the job.
Which Pressure to Choose
The back takes a wider range of pressure than any other region, so this matters.
Swedish gentle to moderate. Warm, gliding, kneading. For general tiredness, a stressful week, or a back that’s stiff rather than knotted. No soreness afterwards.
Firm Swedish. Deeper gliding work that still stays rhythmic. The middle option and what most people mean by “a proper back massage.”
Deep tissue. Sustained static pressure, forearm and elbow work, cross-fibre friction into specific bands. For chronic knots and long-standing tension. Genuinely intense, and possible next-day tenderness is normal.
Mixed. Very common — firm on the upper back where the knots are, gentler on the lower back where it’s just tired. Say so and the therapist works accordingly.
Pressure is set per table and adjusted throughout. One partner can take deep tissue on their back while the other takes gentle Swedish on theirs, at the same hour.
Which Length
Honest guidance rather than an upsell.
Thirty minutes covers one half properly — either the upper back and shoulders, or the lower back and hips. Choose one. It’s a real session, not a token, and it fits into any evening.
Forty-five minutes covers the whole back plus the hips at a comfortable pace. The standard recommendation and the length most couples settle on.
Sixty minutes is what chronic tension actually needs. Every layer worked, time for the tissue to release rather than just be pressed, and the hips given proper attention. If your back has been bothering you for months rather than days, book this.
Beyond sixty on one region isn’t useful, and we’ll say so rather than sell it. If you want longer, add another region or take a full body.
Why Book a Back Session Instead of a Full Body
The arithmetic, plainly.
A sixty-minute full body gives the back roughly fifteen to twenty minutes, spread across upper, mid and lower, with the shoulder blades getting perhaps three minutes each. That is enough to feel pleasant and rarely enough to change anything.
A forty-five minute back session gives the back forty-five minutes. Three times the attention on the region that’s actually the problem, in less time overall, at a lower price.
If your tension is genuinely all over, take the full body — it’s the right booking. If it’s in your back, which for most desk-working, driving, phone-holding people it is, spend the time where the problem is.
Lower Back Pain: What Massage Does and Doesn’t Do
Worth being careful here, because lower back pain is the most common reason people book and also the most commonly misattributed.
What massage helps with: muscular tension in the lower back and hips, stiffness from sitting or standing too long, the tightness that builds through a heavy week, and the compensating tension that develops around an old problem.
What it doesn’t do: it does not treat disc problems, nerve compression, sciatica, structural issues or any diagnosed spinal condition. It does not realign anything. It is not physiotherapy and it is not chiropractic.
When to see someone else first: pain radiating down a leg; numbness, tingling or weakness anywhere; pain following a specific injury or fall; pain that wakes you at night; any loss of bladder or bowel control, which is an emergency. These go to a doctor or physiotherapist, not to a massage table.
When massage is a reasonable first step: general muscular ache with no radiating symptoms, tension that eases with movement, and the familiar stiffness of a body that sits too much.
We are a licensed home massage service, not a medical provider. Nothing here is medical advice.
The Common Patterns We See
The desk back. Upper back and shoulder blades, rounded-forward posture, tension across the top of the shoulders. The single most common presentation in Dubai and the one that responds fastest.
The driving back. Lower back and hips, from long commutes on the arteries. One side is usually worse than the other.
The standing back. Lower back and glutes, from retail, clinical, hospitality and trade work. Different pattern entirely from the driving one and it needs different work.
The lifting back. Lower back and the hip attachments, from warehouse work, gym training or parenting a toddler. The last of those is more common than the other two combined.
The pregnancy back. The lower back carrying a changed load. Handled through the prenatal-adapted session — side-lying, second trimester onward with a doctor’s approval.
The old-injury back. Compensating tension built around something that happened years ago. Worth mentioning at booking so the therapist works the compensation rather than poking the original site.
Safety Notes and When to Postpone
Radiating pain, numbness, tingling or weakness: see a doctor or physiotherapist first. These are nerve signs and massage is not the right response.
Recent injury, fall or suspected fracture: waits until assessed.
Diagnosed disc problems, spinal stenosis or spondylolisthesis: mention at booking. Pressure is moderated, some techniques removed, and where your doctor has given specific guidance it governs.
Recent spinal surgery: waits until cleared, and then only with your surgeon’s approval.
Osteoporosis: deep pressure isn’t appropriate; gentle Swedish is.
Blood thinners, clotting disorders or easy bruising: mention at booking; pressure is reduced.
Skin conditions, open wounds, rashes or serious sunburn on the back: the area is avoided; significant sunburn postpones.
Fever, active infection or acute inflammation: postpone.
Pregnancy: the prenatal-adapted session, side-lying, second trimester onward with a doctor’s approval, abdomen never worked.
The Soreness Question
If the session was gentle to moderate, there will be no soreness.
If it was deep tissue on genuinely tight tissue, mild next-day tenderness is normal — like the day after a hard gym session, fading within a day or two. Water, gentle movement and a warm shower help.
Sharp pain, bruising, numbness or soreness that worsens after forty-eight hours is not normal and should be mentioned.
Don’t book a firm back session the night before something physically demanding.
Beside Another Technique
The couple format handles mixed bookings without complication.
Back session beside a full body — one partner takes the focused work, the other takes the complete route. The lengths differ; both still start together and one finishes earlier.
Back session for both — the short weeknight booking and the most efficient use of an hour when both of you have the same problem.
Back beside reflexology — the desk partner takes the back, the standing partner takes the feet. Both regions actually addressed rather than both half-addressed.
Back beside head, neck and shoulders — for couples where one carries it low and the other carries it high.
What We Need From You
A room with space for two tables — living room standard, bedroom where it suits better.
Where the back actually hurts. Specific beats general: “left side, just above the belt” is worth more than “my back.”
Your pressure preference per person, and whether you want the hips included.
Any diagnosis, injury history or medication worth mentioning.
Everything else arrives with the therapists. Setup and pack-down under ten minutes each way.
Pricing
One figure covers both partners — both therapists, both tables, all linens and towels, the oils, and the travel. Quoted in the message before you book and matched at the door.
The back session is priced by its length, which makes the thirty and forty-five minute versions the most accessible bookings on the menu. Mixed bookings — a back session on one table, a full body on the other — are priced accordingly and quoted before you commit.
Coverage Across Dubai
Couple back massage runs to every area we serve — the coastal belt, the central districts, the villa belt, the eastern corridor, old Dubai’s quarters, the southern reach and across into Sharjah.
Arrival windows vary honestly by distance: coastal and central inside about an hour, villa belt and eastern corridor around an hour and a quarter, far southern communities and Sharjah at an hour and a half with half a day’s notice.
Frequently Asked Questions — Couple Back Massage Dubai
Is thirty minutes actually worth it?
Yes — thirty minutes on one half of the back does more for that region than a sixty-minute full body, which gives the whole back about fifteen.
Should I book this or a full body?
If your tension is genuinely all over, take the full body. If it’s in your back — which for most desk and driving people it is — spend the time where the problem actually is.
Do you work the hips too?
As standard, over the drape where preferred. Most lower-back tension actually originates in the hips, so a back session that skips them is doing part of the job.
Can we choose different pressures?
Set per table and adjusted throughout — one partner can take deep tissue while the other takes gentle Swedish, at the same hour.
Will deep work on my back make me sore?
Mildly for a day or two if the tissue was genuinely tight, like hard training. Gentle and moderate sessions produce no soreness at all.
I have sciatica — can I book?
See a doctor or physiotherapist first. Radiating pain, numbness or tingling are nerve signs and massage isn’t the right response to them.
Do you press on the spine?
Never. The spine itself isn’t pressed — the long muscles either side of it are, which is where the tension actually sits.
Can one of us have a back session and the other a full body?
Common booking. The lengths differ, both still start together, and the pricing is quoted before you commit.
